Bloom

This is the best game I could make within 10 days using RPG Maker's default assets, having never used the software before. Keep that in mind when you play the game! I hope you enjoy this short little adventure!

I made this game in 10 days in RPG Maker MZ. I made it for my sibling's birthday as a gift. Normally when I make games, I use game maker studio, and create my own art and music. For this project, I intentionally only used the graphics and music that came with RPG Maker MZ. I had never used RPG Maker before.

Since this game was made in such a short time, it is a short game. At the end of the game, you can choose to date one or more characters, or none of them, depending on if you managed to flirt with them earlier in the game.

It's not meant to be a difficult game! So if you choose to play it, expect a relatively chill time. Hopefully, it'll make you laugh. It might even make you feel something! Who knows!

Premise:

You are Bloom, a woman who lives under the oppressive rule of King Torick. After witnessing an innocent poor villager get arrested for being unable to pay her taxes, you set off on a quest to overthrow the King. Along the way, you meet interesting and quirky characters.

There is no battle system, the game is more about exploring the small world and talking to characters.

At the end of the game you can ask out up to four characters, who may or may not decide to date you based on if you flirted with them earlier in the game! You can be poly and date any number of them, just date one, or stay single. (This includes lesbian options since you play as a woman, and three out of the four dateable characters are women. This happens at the very end of the game and does not affect much other than the final scene- this isn't really a dating sim.)
